Message from the President – IEWS (India Empowerment and Welfare Society)
Greetings,
It gives me immense pride to reflect on the journey of IEWS, a mission-driven NGO founded in 2003 with a heartfelt commitment to empowering both the young and old who are challenged and disadvantaged. From our humble beginnings, we have grown into a multi-faceted organization with deep roots in community service and innovation.
Over the years, we have launched several transformative initiatives. One of our landmark programs, Project SMART, focuses on nurturing and empowering mentally challenged children, providing them with structured learning, therapeutic care, and social inclusion.
Our flagship infrastructure, ARCHON, is a fully operational 100-bedded Rehabilitation Care Home, designed to provide long-term support and dignified living for individuals with varying needs. This facility is a testament to our belief that care should be both compassionate and comprehensive.
To further expand access to therapy and special education, we currently operate 10 resource centers across Delhi, offering therapeutic interventions to underprivileged children. These centers have become lifelines for families who otherwise cannot access such critical support services.
Innovation lies at the heart of our work. Our team has developed several assistive technology solutions tailored for individuals with special needs, enabling greater independence and participation in everyday life.
Equally close to our heart is the cause of animal welfare. With deep compassion for our four-legged co-inhabitants, we launched Project Co-existence, a robust initiative dedicated to the rescue, care, and rehabilitation of street dogs. This project has touched countless lives—both human and animal—by promoting harmony and empathy in our communities.
As we move forward, our commitment remains unwavering. IEWS will continue to explore new avenues to uplift the marginalized, foster dignity, and bridge the gaps in health, education, care, and compassion.
